JumpStartingROC to assist businesses
The city of Rochester has launched JumpStartingROC.com, a new website focused on helping businesses recover from the impact of COVID-19.
In response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s announcement that restaurants can offer outdoor dining during Phase 2 of the State’s reopening plan, the website provides easy access to applications for sidewalk café and zoning permits for expanded outdoor seating. These expanded seating options will focus on sidewalks, parking lots and other contiguous restaurant property. Road closures and other special accommodations will also be considered.
“JumpStartingROC.com provides one-stop shopping for businesses looking for information and assistance as we safely reopen and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mayor Lovely Warren said. “We are ready to assist local restaurants and process their applications for outdoor dining permits quickly and easily. Our City is committed to helping small businesses and the employees and families that rely on them for a paycheck. JumpstartingROC.com is designed to help these businesses and all of our city neighborhoods recover.”
In addition to downloading an outdoor dining permit application and instructions at JumpStartingROC.com, restaurants with questions regarding the process can contact City Hall. The city anticipates being able to process correctly completed applications as quickly as possible.
