Pitch competition targets hardware startups
AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup has selected NextCorps to be a feeder for its national Hardware Challenge Pitch Competition. This cup covers seven territories in the U.S., along with a global component, to identify and provide support to the most promising hardware startups today.
The NextCorps pitch event will be held at Sibley Square in Rochester on Jan. 26, and is open to the public. Startups can apply in one of three categories: cleantech, health & medical, or open. Each category winner will be awarded a trophy, with first place receiving $250, second place $100, and third place $50.
The competition winner will receive six months of incubation and assistance from NextCorps or REV, depending on your business location, and will move on to the AlphaLab regional competition, held in Pittsburgh in February. The regional winner will receive $3,000, with the national winner receiving $50,000.

It costs $25 to compete, and $10 for general admission. Register here to pitch or watch the competition.
