UR to offer free webinars for small-business owners
To help area small-business owners and entrepreneurs, the University of Rochester is offering a free series of webinars beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 6. The five-part series is titled, “UR Buzz Lab Boot Camp: Managing through Uncertainty.”
Through the seminars, professionals will teach various skills to help owners adapt, recover and rebuild due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These webinars will run on Tuesdays, Oct. 6 – Nov. 3, from noon to 1 p.m. Speakers will include professionals from Rochester Economic Development Corporation, Black Button Distilling, TechRochester and Avvino.
“A lot of the advice will be helpful for those facing challenges in our economic region,” says Natalie Yager Antal, associate director at Ain Center for Entrepreneurship, University of Rochester. “The funding for these free seminars came through the CARES act, through the Economic Development Administration within the U.S. Department of Commerce.”
Topics to be covered include funding, HR, e-commerce, digital marketing, financial resources and work/life balance.
