UVC founder to speak at UR
Upstate Venture Connect’s founder, who also founded a successful cloud-based HR services firm, will speak about his entrepreneurial experiences, as well as his background as an investor in upstate New York at an upcoming talk at University of Rochester.
Martin Babinec will deliver the Spring 2019 Ain Center Lecture, 5 Keys to Startup & Venture Capital Success. Babinec is founder of TriNet. The Ain Center for Entrepreneurship talk is at 4:30 p.m. April 8.
TriNet is a Silicon Valley-based company founded in 1988; Babinec served as CEO for 20 years and continues as a board director. TriNet’s cloud-based HR services now cover more than 17,000 clients and generates more than $4 billion in annual revenue.
Babinec is a champion for entrepreneurship and economic development in upstate New York. He is managing director of UpVentures Capital, founder and Chairman of Upstate Venture Connect, co-founder and chairman of StartFast Venture Accelerator and has other leadership roles helping organizations connect entrepreneurs to resources nationally and globally.
